About the Program:
The University of Natural Medicine's Bachelor in Natural Health Sciences (B.S.) degree program is individually designed to enable each student to apply past academic studies and life/work experience toward a degree through our institution.
The total number of required credit hours is determined from the amount of incoming credit earned and advanced placement received. The University's specialized programs with majors in Clinical Nutrition or Botanical Medicine also require sufficient training in the field to assure competency in the disciplines. As required by our licensure any student will need to complete a minimum of 15 credit hours of study with the University of Natural Medicine.
In the process of fulfilling any degree program with the University, a student can earn and accumulate various diplomas in a given modality or training, subject to the curriculum requirements. This provides the student with credentials and the opportunity to apply their knowledge while completing the degree requirements.
Courses taken in the process of studying for the Bachelor of Natural Health Sciences degree may apply toward more advanced degree programs at the University -- the Master of Science, Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Natural Medicine, Doctor of Integrative Medicine and the Doctor of Naturopathy -- should the student decide to pursue graduate studies.
