Carrie Cheney, Ph.D.

University of California, University of Nevada, University of Washington, Veterans Administration Medical Center, Houston, Texas. Dr. Cheney has a doctorate in epidemiology and degrees in nutritional sciences and secondary education. An educator and researcher, Dr. Cheney has devoted over 20 years to teaching and mentoring students and conducting investigations in clinical epidemiology and public health. Her primary research focus has been in cancer, specifically the nutritional aspects of cancer treatment and prevention. Also a graduate of the Lynn Andrews Center for Sacred Arts and Training, Dr. Cheney uniquely combines scientific discipline with a spiritual understanding and foundation. She brings this point of view to her work and challenges her students to build new structures for learning and investigating the problems of our time.
