Darlene R. Hess, Ph.D. , CFNP, HNC
University of New Mexico, University of Alabama,
Birmingham, Troy State University . Dr. Hess is a
Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a Certified
Occupational Health Nurse Specialist with a Ph.D.
in Health Promotion. Currently, Dr. Hess sees
patients at the Albuquerque Clinic, specializing in
candida treatment, women's health and natural
hormone therapy, and stress management.
Previously, Dr. Hess was an Assistant Professor at
the College of Nursing, University of New Mexico.
She currently teaches for the University of Phoenix.
Her extensive teaching experience includes a
multitude of subject areas from business and
finance to theoretical and practical perspectives on
complimentary and western medicine. She has
published and presented her research on repetitive
motion disorders nationally and internationally. She
has served on the advisory boards of several
organizations including the New Mexico
Department of Labor Task Force on Prevention of
Repetitive Strain Injuries and University of New
Mexico Employee Health Promotion Program. Dr.
Hess has authored several publications and has
given numerous professional presentations. Her
current interests are in holistic care and the
connections between mind-body-emotions-spirit
and how the interact in the promotion of health and
illness/dysfunction.
