Degree and Diploma Programs

Please Review the following options and indicate which you would prefer. Other options may be available upon approval by the university. (Registration fees are not required for diploma/certification programs)

______ Option 1: Full payment of ALL fees at the time of enrollment. (4% discount)

______ Option 2: Payment by module or program (If payment is for a degree, then the registration fee plus a minimum of 12 credit hours are required).

______ Option 3: Pay-As-You-Go Payment Plan. You pay incrementally only for the courses you order (and any fees due). Some students also elect to make monthly payments for personal budgeting purposes. A credit balance is accumulated and you can then order courses against that balance.

Refund Policy
  1. This refund policy applies only to tuition. It shall not apply to application, evaluation, or registration fees, purchases of books or supplies, nor to any other expenses which the student may have incurred incidental to participating in the program, such as travel, lodging and any other personal expenses.
  2. A student signing an Enrollment Agreement or making an initial deposit or payment toward tuition and fees of UNMI shall be entitled to a "cooling off period" of at least three working days from the date of the Agreement or payment deposit, whichever is later. During the "cooling off period" the agreement can be withdrawn and all payments refunded.
  3. In the event that a student withdraws or is expelled after the "cooling off period", a refund shall be based on the tuition received for courses not yet completed. All refunds are pro-rated from the date on which the instruction period begins which is defined as the date on which the instruction materials (courses) are handed or mailed to the student from UNMI or affiliated institutions. After that date, refunds are made according to the amount of time elapsed since instruction began. The instruction period for distance learning at UNMI is defined as four months per module, or 1.5 weeks per credit hour for students taking fewer than 12 credits. No refunds will be made for fees paid toward clinical and practical trainings. Refunds of tuition will be made according to the following schedule within the instruction period:
      Within 1st 10% ...90%
      Within 2nd 10% ...75%
      Within 3rd 10% ...60%
      Within 4th 10% ...45%
      Within 5th 10% ...30%
      Within 16th 10% ...15%
      Thereafter no refund.

The "Pay-As-You-Go" Program

Students may always pre-pay tuition. Amounts pre-paid will be held in a separate account. As courses are ordered and sent, the course fees and charges to the extent ordered will be transferred from the student's pre-paid account into the University account. If a student needs more flexibility with their payment plan, the "pay-as-you-go" program allows him/her to design a monthly arrangement according to his/her financial capacity.

The "pay-as-you-go" program is not a financial assistance or loan program. It simply allows a student to custom design a method for paying tuition.
